Presenting "Ring the Bell," by David Henderson in partnership with nettnett radio

"Ring The Bell" is a 25 minute FM radio experiment that seeks to collapse the distance between 100 years of Appalachian music, bridging the gap between traditional fiddle tunes, ballads, and modern noise folk experiments. It is also a celebration of WPAQ, a family run AM radio station that has faithfully broadcast its unique old-time, bluegrass, and sermon-only format over the Blue Ridge Mountains for 76 years.

Strap in for a late night drive through the depths of the Southeast, soundtracked by an antenna and an AM receiver equally on the fritz.

Tracks were transferred from analog sources; The show was then recorded in one take from an SP-404 to a Zoom H4n. No computers were used in the production of this broadcast. "Ring the Bell," the feast is served.
